As fall tiptoes in and we wrap up Labor Day, I slipped away to Clearwater Beach. The weekend opened with a wild thunderstorm—nature’s cue for a blissful three-hour nap—then I woke to sunshine and a blissful afternoon at the beach. It was the sweetest reminder to slow down, breathe, and give yourself permission to getaway.

And just like the sky shifts, our skin does too. As the heat eases and tans soften, our complexions (and our foundations) need a little seasonal edit. Here’s how to refresh:

The Creation of the Bohemian Bride

Thirty years in, after transforming the beauty of hundreds of brides, I still get butterflies when a vision clicks. I met Samantha at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in downtown Orlando—a Marriott and Kessler Collection gem—and we instantly started dreaming up what a true Grand Bohemian bride looks like: glamorous, sexy, trendy yet timeless, and totally in love with luxe.

Partnering with The Bridal Finery, we met with Tali and chose two breathtaking gowns to tell two distinct love stories. Look One was my “modern princess”: a full, sweeping gown with a veil and classic glam—polished skin, sculpted eyes, and a soft, iconic lip. Look Two (my favorite!) leaned sultry and vintage: a sleek silhouette in white, then an ombré option that felt perfectly aligned with the hotel’s artistic, boutique spirit. Both looks were styled to echo the BO’s gallery-meets-glam energy—rich textures, bold details, and effortless sophistication.

The photoshoot was pure magic and a reminder of why I adore bridal artistry—every detail becomes a work of art. Designing the Grand Bohemian Bridal Look with Samantha was an absolute joy and a creative milestone for me.
